Chapter 1

This is the first chapter of the story. The protagonist wakes up in an unfamiliar place.

The air was thick with the scent of rain-soaked earth. Every step forward felt like a step into the unknown, and yet there was no turning back. The path behind had already dissolved into mist.

A faint light flickered in the distance — too steady to be a star, too dim to be a fire. It pulsed like a heartbeat, drawing them closer with each breath.
